Mobility company Van Mossel Automotive Group has grown in 75 years to become the largest automotive company in the Benelux, with more than 7,000 employees. The family-owned company has over 450 branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Germany, France and the UK, including 43 dealerships.  

About the project

2BHonest has been working with Van Mossel on their sustainability issues since 2022. In 2022, we developed their sustainability strategy together with them and helped them write their 2022 Sustainability Report. This sustainability report can be foundhere.  

Activities

In 2023, we entered into a new partnership to help them comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). As part of this process, we looked at which sustainability themes were material to Van Mossel and what they were required to report on. Through analysis of internal and external documentation, interviews and workshops, we arrived at an indicative list of topics that Van Mossel will need to report on in 2025 and 2026.   

To help Van Mossel on its way further, we devised an action plan that it continues to follow up on internally. This plan provides companies with the tools they need to make CSRD reporting as easy as possible.  

Result

Thanks to our support, Van Mossel now has a clear sustainability strategy and action plan to ensure compliance with the CSRD requirements. This enables them to effectively report on relevant sustainability themes and achieve their sustainability goals.
