CSRD | Reporting | Implementation
Family-owned Burg Group is one of the world’s larger producers of edible vinegar, cleaning vinegar and syrups. Burg Group has six modern production sites in five different European countries.
As a large company, Burg Group is subject to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and will be required to report in 2026. In preparation for this legislation, the company wanted guidance on conducting a double materiality analysis.
For this project, we used desktop research combined with interviews to develop a list of relevant sustainability themes. We further explored these themes by organising materiality workshops with various employees. Finally, we worked together to determine the materiality of these themes. The results were then presented to and validated by management.
The results of this analysis were published in the Burg Group CSR report.
