Seyntex, a Belgian family-owned company with a heritage of more than 100 years, specialises in the manufacture of protective clothing for the armed forces, police and security services. Headquartered in Belgium, with manufacturing facilities in Romania and Bangladesh, Seyntex provides high-quality equipment to both public and private clients.   

About the project

Seyntex is facing the challenge of complying with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which will come into force in 2026. Seyntex has asked us to help them identify which ESG themes are material to their organisation and what steps they need to take to comply with this new regulation. The aim is to prepare comprehensively and identify the necessary actions for effective implementation.  

Activities

To prepare Seyntex for the requirements of the CSRD, we identified the material ESG themes for Seyntex through a double materiality analysis. These themes were validated through interviews with internal and external stakeholders, resulting in a definitive shortlist of relevant topics.   

We organised workshops to assess the impact and financial materiality of the selected issues. We also assessed Seyntex’s reporting readiness by analysing the requirements for CSRD reporting.   

Based on these analyses and assessments, we developed an action plan, prioritising key actions and linking them to specific roles and responsibilities within the organisation. In the follow-up process, we are focusing on developing an integrated sustainability strategy.  

Result

The work carried out provides Seyntex with a clear view of its current situation, enabling it to plan and prioritise strategically and prepare for successfully completing the CSRD reporting in 2026.
