Vermaat is a leading Dutch hospitality specialist, providing high-quality catering services in various sectors at home and abroad. This includes corporate hospitality, restaurants in hospitals, museums, airports and major events. Through tailor-made catering, Vermaat creates a unique world of taste for its clients, which on the one hand strengthens the brand and the experience, and on the other hand has a positive impact in terms of sustainability for these clients and guests. In the field of ESG, the caterer leads the way.
About the project
Sustainability is close to Vermaat’s heart. To make a positive impact in the world of food and drink, Vermaat launched its Food Vision many years ago, a sustainability strategy with ambitious targets covering the themes where Vermaat has the most influence. 2BHonest was given the opportunity to help Vermaat in the development of the new Food Vision 2027.
Activities
We helped clarify the focus of the various sustainability issues and supported the development of the underlying targets and KPIs. We also helped develop a growth model to monitor progress across the different business units. We also provided input into the development of communication tools to reinforce the vision of Food Vision 2027 —‘Let’s cater for the future together’.
Result
As a result of this project, Vermaat now has a sustainability strategy that will enable it to steer its sustainability efforts in the coming years.
